A gallery wrap is a popular method of displaying canvas over a stretcher bar frame. The canvas is stretched around the sides of the stretcher bars and is stapled onto the back of the wooden frame. Our gallery wraps are stretched, folded and the corners are neatly wrapped. The frame is 3/4” or 1 ½" deep. The image continues around and onto each side of the frame and because the canvas is stapled on the back, the artwork presentation does not require a frame.
Giclee printing is high quality printing, using a large format printer. A Giclee print is considered higher quality and its lifespan is longer than a print from a standard desktop inkjet printer. The printer used for Giclee printing has between 8 to 12 ink cartridges. The more inks, the more sophisticated the color range when printed. The resolution is high. The choice of substrate (canvas) used is acid free and 100% cotton, and the inks used are pigmented inks. Pigment based inks have a longer lifespan without fading. A Giclee print should have a life span of 100 years or more if properly cared for by the owner.
Other than the canvas’s awesome printed image, the foundation is probably the second most important aspect of our gallery wraps. The frame is made of sturdy wooden stretcher bars. It is the appropriate foundation for the support of a gallery wrapped canvas.
Acid free canvas and 100% cotton are best for longevity and color reproduction. Professional substrate (canvas) is more expensive but is well worth the cost for the quality it brings in printing and longevity.
The inks we use are pigmented inks. Pigment based inks have a longer lifespan without fading.
The canvas should last 100 years or more with proper care.
Your ARTWORK is meant to last generations under proper care. And your ARTWORK is sealed twice with a glossy varnish for added protection.
To preserve its longevity and prolong its color, we ask that you consider the following:
- When handling the canvas, always wear cotton gloves. Use the cotton gloves that are provided with our packaging or use a light, clean, dry towel between the canvas and any part of your hands to prevent any oils from your hands transferring onto the canvas. (We want to prevent any fingerprints.)
- Place the canvas on a wall that does not have contact with direct sunlight and avoid areas of high moisture, heat or humidity. Sunlight will fade any printed material over time and moisture, humidity or heat may cause warping of the wooden frame over time as well.
- Occasionally, you can dust your ARTWORK with a clean, dry feather duster.
- If you need to remove any stubborn dust or a stain, use a damp cloth (water only) and gently wipe the surface.
Absolutely! We will send you a proof to approve before the final is printed. If you love it…. just approve it and your ARTWORK will be printed, varnished, stretched onto wooden stretcher bars, packaged carefully and shipped.
Yes, you can make changes! When you receive the proof, this is the stage where revisions can be made. Email your revisions and the changes will be made and another proof will be sent to you to approve. Once approved, your ARTWORK will be on its way! We want you to be happy with your ARTWORK.
Color appearance can vary between monitors, mobile devices and printed material. We do our best to ensure that colors are accurate, but we can’t guarantee the colors to be exact. If you need to match colors, please indicate that on the questionnaire and mail us a color swatch or include the pantone color number of the actual color(s) and we will do our best to match the color.
Shipping is free when ARTWORK is shipped in the continental United States.
Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and international shipping, please call for a quote.
Let us know right away if you are not satisfied with your ARTWORK. We will do our best to remedy the situation.
The cotton gloves are provided as our courtesy. We are very careful when handling your ARTWORK and we want to provide you with the means to handle the ART properly as well. We provide FREE large size cotton gloves for you to wear when unpacking and hanging your ART. Oils from the skin can easily be transferred onto the surface of the canvas, so gloves are provided to ensure your ART is not compromised by any oils or fingerprints.
Yes. Your ARTWORK is ready to hang when unpacked. Each canvas has metal fasteners attached on the back for easy hanging. See our IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR HANDLING.
No. Gallery wrap canvases are meant to hang frameless. If you would like to frame your ART, you can certainly do so. Visit your local frame shop and ask for a floating frame.
You will receive your ARTWORK within 4-6 weeks from the date you place your order.
Your artwork will arrive securely packaged. The canvas is carefully wrapped with glassine paper or placed in an acid free bag. Cardboard sheets are placed on both sides and the entire area is covered in corrugated bubble or 100% recycled paper shred. The wrapped canvas is then placed in a sturdy cardboard box and shipped.
We care about the environment and are conscience of the packaging materials we use. Wherever possible packaging materials are eco-friendly.
Absolutely. Your artwork is insured for its purchase price.
We usually use FEDX, USPS or UPS but occasionally a different carrier will offer a better option, so we may ship with them. Tracking numbers and estimated arrival date will always be emailed when the ARTWORK ships.
Sometimes, even though we do our best to securely package your ART, damage in shipping occurs. If that should happen, call us right away and send us pictures of the damage. In most cases, we will just re-print your ARTWORK and ship it out to you as soon as we can!
We would love to offer installments because the size of the canvas and the number of subjects can bring up the price of the artwork quickly. The only way installments can be processed, at this time, is through PayPal Credit.
Yes, you can pay with Pay Pal. We accept most major credit cards.
Photo Tips: Eye level is best. If you can, have the subject look at the camera. Natural lighting is best too. Take the photograph in a well-lit room, without a flash or outside, if possible.
Things to Avoid: Avoid uploading any blurry photos, two or more subjects in one photo and avoid any part of the subject’s head being cut out of the photo.
Things to Consider: Shots from a smart phone are workable for smaller canvases but sometimes the images lose clarity when they are enlarged. The best bet, when using a smart phone, is to avoid "selfies" and take the photo as a camera. We suggest not turning the camera towards yourself but rather having someone else take the photo.
Considering the Background. Try using a contrasting background, so the detail of your image can be clearly seen. If your subject is light take the picture on a dark background. If the subject is dark, take the photo on a light backgroud.
For the Best Image: For the most clarity and detail in your photo we suggest using a digital camera or 35 mm camera.
Absolutely! Just upload a photograph. Pets make great subjects.
Yes, absolutely! Material and workmanship are guaranteed 100%.
We are located in Marshalls Creek, Pennsylvania.
anna’s design style concentrates mainly on the face. The face and head are the focus of the canvas. Because of that, backgrounds are usually 1 or 2 solid colors that contrast and emphasize the face. If you have a preference for a particular color background, please include that in the questionnaire. We will do our best to accommodate.
Copyright of any artwork always remains with the artist. Basically, that means, you are the owner of the canvas, but you cannot reproduce it without the artist’s permission.
Absolutely! All materials provided by the client will be returned when the ARTWORK is shipped. anna D'Intino Studios cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged during shipment.
If at any time before approval and production, the client decides that he/she is not happy with the design, he/she may request changes/revisions at no additional cost.
If the client is not happy with the design after revisions have been made then he/she may request a full refund.
After the client has approved the proof and production has begun, no refund can be made. Because of the nature of any custom artwork, after you have approved the proof and /or you have received your artwork, it is not returnable, and no refund can be made.
Make your selections: We offer 3 styles.
Head and Shoulder: The Head and Shoulder Style is a large, colorful interpretation of just the subject’s face and shoulder. The face and shoulder are enlarged to fill the entire canvas. The colors are radiant, stunning and at times contrasting yet the image projects a familiar feeling.
Cookie Cutter: The Cookie Cutter Style focuses on the face and eyes. The subject’s head is cut-out from the original photo, enlarged to fill the canvas, tilted slightly and placed in the center of a solid, often contrasting background. This style is perfect for family or pet portraits.
Up Close and Personal: The Up Close and Personal Style enlarges the face so much that the features continue onto the edges of the canvas. The face becomes colorful shapes and textures, and the image becomes an interesting design conveying a mood or feeling.
